The Cup of Good Hope is born ...
The documentary film “The other final” showing the football match between the two last places of the FIFA ranking list, Montserrat and Buthan, brought up the idea
of organizing a special youth encounter in Germany on the occasion of the World Championship 2006. Football provides a wonderful frame for this as it is a sport known and loved world-wide.
Another event encouraged us to let the Cup of Good Hope become true: The Football Championship of the Homeless 2004 in Göteborg. Its succes showed very clearly that football and an international encounter of disadvantaged people can take place on a high level.
Thus the Cup of Good hope was born, now we just had to start working on it.....
